Water main bursts along Punta Gorda roadway

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. —

A water main break has Punta Gorda police telling residents to avoid the area of Shreve Street Monday morning.

According to the Punta Gorda Police Department, a water main burst along the roadway in the area of Shreve Street between West Retta Esplanade and West Marion Avenue by the Military Heritage Museum.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to avoid the area, PGPD said.
