SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are monitoring threats for excessively heavy rainfall Friday and Saturday across Southwest Florida.
Few showers are around for your Friday morning commute. Isolated showers and a few storms (30% coverage) will once again be around Southwest Florida throughout the morning and midday hours. Scattered storms (40% coverage) will move East of I-75 through the afternoon and early evening. While not as breezy as the last few days, Friday can still be breezy at times in the afternoon. Highs top out in the upper 80s to lower 90s.
Plan for isolated showers and a few storms for your Saturday morning plans. All of Southwest Florida is under a risk for excessively heavy rainfall Saturday with scattered rain and storms (60% coverage) looking likely throughout the morning, midday and afternoon hours. Temperatures will continue to be cooler than normal with highs in the 80s to lower 90s.
A few showers (20% coverage) will be possible for your Sunday morning plans with showers increasing in coverage throughout the morning and midday hours. Scattered showers and storms (50% coverage) continue into the afternoon. While most of the rain moves East of I-75, isolated showers will still move onshore along the coast throughout the day. Highs top out in the upper 80s to lower 90s.
