Thursday presents a slim chance for rain before the faucet shuts off this weekend.
Thursday morning will feature partly cloudy skies, with temperatures starting in the mid 70s. Expect another humid day tomorrow, with most of us seeing a mix of sun and clouds. Afternoon high temperatures will reach near 90 degrees. Only isolated showers and storms are possible throughout the afternoon and evening, with just 30% rain coverage.
A cold front will sweep across the region on Friday, ushering in drier air. Friday morning will still be warm and humid, with morning lows in the lower to mid 70s. Afternoon highs on Friday will reach the upper 80s to near 90. Rain chances are slim to none and will continue to stay that way through the weekend.
In the tropics, there are no threats to Florida or the United States over the next seven days. Tropical Storm Fay fizzled out earlier this week but has redeveloped today as a tropical depression. This one will stay over the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and not impact any land.
